ASNJ Art Contest

Break out your art supplies! The ASNJ is having an art contest!

Members are encouraged to create a one-color image of what they feel best represents the ASNJ or archaeology in New Jersey. The artwork must prominently contain the words "Archaeological Society of New Jersey".

Electronic versions of your artwork image in .jpg format should be emailed to Ilene Grossman-Bailey at asnjpresident@gmail.com by November 15, 2013 with your contact information.

All submitted artwork will be posted on the ASNJ website and on ASNJ's Facebook page.
Members will vote for the artwork they feel best captures the essence of the ASNJ and New Jersey archaeology at the January 2014 meeting.

The chosen artwork will be featured on items such as tote bags or t-shirts that will be available for sale by the ASNJ between January 2014 and January 2015. ASNJ will assume ownership of the winning artwork and all item sale proceeds will be put toward the ASNJ research grant and a public outreach fund.

The winner will receive a free one-year Individual membership to the ASNJ and will be featured in the March 2014 newsletter.

Dear Colleagues,

Due to a family commitment, Jon Blaydes will not be able to present his research on the Delaware River shipwreck, instead Tabitha Hilliard will be presenting on the archaeology of horse tack.

All the best,
