The ASNJ holds four (4) fantastic and fun meetings annually. These typically take place on the third (3rd) Saturday of January, March, May, and October. Our January meeting is often held at the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton, while the March, May and October meeting locations rotate throughout the state to provide our members with opportunities to gather and learn about archaeology. Meeting events vary and include guest speaker and member lectures on archaeological topics, artifact exhibits of local collections, museum tours, and outdoor activities. Contact is maintained with professional and avocational archaeologists working in the state, and they are encouraged to make provisions for participation by Society members in their field and laboratory activities.

In addition to our quarterly meetings, the ASNJ offers other events, such as volunteer digs for members who wish to learn hands-on, proper archaeological excavation skills, as well as site tours, lithic technology demonstrations, mapping activities, artifact identification tutorials, and pop-up shops at public events.

Two publications are issued by the Society; the Bulletin with scientific articles by professionals and amateurs, and the Newsletter with notes of current activities of archaeological interest, meeting dates, and general news. Both are distributed to all current members without additional charge. From time to time, various research reports are also issued. Members receive four issues of the Newsletter issued annually, one each prior to the January, March, May, and October meetings.
